weekend highlight

 

i spent the weekend with the smallest love of my life.. his parents needed some alone and time and i am more than happy to take vinny of their hands. - isn't he most adorable thing ever!!!

 considering my major in school is childhood education i figured i could use the practice.

we made all natural finger paint, just in case he would eat it {which is did taste just didn't like very much}. we played with the jenga blocks which he kept crashing on purpose!

when it was time for a shower especially because he had paint all over, he refused to come out the tub, he must of been a fish in another life..

he woke me up bright and early at 8am sunday morning, so i decided to go over to the  park where he decided to make the squirrels play with him, although they did not want to. but it was just the cutest thing to see him run after them and they run from him. the look on his face was just priceless.

i love spending time with him not just because i love him and he is my godson, but also because children have this wonderful innocence that is just beautiful. his killer smile is a plus as well. :-)

1.cupcake key chain, how cute is this?, just wish i could afford it!

5.sweets on sweets heel,  crazy about cupcakes, pretty in love with pie, and mad about macaroons, so why wouldn't you be wild about these sugary-sweet treats for your feet? 

 

6.stir in love whisk{we all need some love at times}, for making those sweets sweets.

 

something as simple as a cupcake can sometimes change our whole mood. right now i could go for a box! .. have a great weekend everyone!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ that's how i am feeling. i have been having a hard and sad and just overwhelming last couple of days. hopefully soon this will be behind but me but for now i'll be eating delicious cookies until i feel better :-).

iPod iPod hear all about it!

most new yorkers are obsessed with watching new york 1 news and i am no different.

over the weekend i watched there news report about a not-for-profit group is trying to encourage more nursing homes to use music therapy for people who have Alzheimer's disease, as their research shows individualized music can make quite a difference in how seniors behave and it touched my heart. 

just last week i was looking at my old red iPod and asked what i should do with it. considering a lot of us probably have these old working gadgets lying around collecting dust i think this would be a great thing to do and i will be dropping mine of today :-).

pluto's walk in the park

i guess the question is who is pluto? well pluto is the family dog.. while he does not live with me he has been  part of our lives for the past 7 years of his life.. he is one of the many reasons i love to visit my parent's house.

while i went to go visit i took him to the park to enjoy the fall setting into nyc. it's one of my favorites seasons!

isn;t he cute? my sister and i took him to our childhood park.. camel park in riverbank.

this weather is making me so excited for the next big holiday christmas and new years!
