chalkboard wall

i'm taking my time decorating my new apartment.but one of the things i knew i wanted before i even moved him was a chalkboard wall just because i felt it would help me get better organized {yea right} and because i thought it was cool!

as you can see mike and i have a profaniy bank.. i owe him at this point..

i used rustoleum chalkboard paint and it was very easy, only 1 coat.

thank you mikey for the wonderful paint job!

p.s. sorry for the low quality of the picture, my iphone's cam is slowly losing it.

what you drinkin on? .. jell-o shots!!!

one of my favorite things to do in this world is to enjoy myself with people i care about and i love my friends they are the best. when ever they come over they request my famous jell-o shots and i am more then pleased to do so .. my famous jello shot recipe is below..

ingredients:
1 package of jell-o
1 cup of water
1 cup of vodka {which ever vodka you like, i prefer to use ketle one}
1 pack of mini cup, like the once you use in the bathroom for mouthwash

put the water to boil, once the water is boiling turn of the pot and add the jell-o mix ans stir until it dissolves. go ahead and add the vodka and mix. once everything is mixed you can start to pour into the cups but be careful because it's very hot. You can get about 25 shots filling the cups about half way. i usually make about 4 packs for 100 shots for about 10-15 people and usually only have a couple left over.. it can be easy to just keep taking these considering how tasty they are! the cups on in the refrigerator for about two hours and you should be set!!

this is a super easy.. you can also put some whip cream once they have set and you are ready to serve!

cheers to the freakin' weekend i drink to that, yeah yeah

oh let the jameson sink in
i drink to that, yeah yeah
don't let the bastards get ya down
turn it around with another round
there's a party at the bar everybody put your glasses up and i drink to that i drink to that.

happy friday everyone!

i love this...

motel literally rocks.. motel is one of my favorite european clothing lines. i love all the colors and patterns they use, plus i appreciate i you don't really need to do much to dress the pieces up or down.

The vita dress can be worn in the day with flats or some really cute wedges and easily be taken into night with some lips stick and an up do...

Do you own any motel dresses? if so which ones??

my old man is a bad man.. but i can't deny the way he holds my hand and he grabs me, he has me by my heart

vintage viernes

a couple of  months ago i found one of my favorite bag and new vintage bag designer at a local thrift store; for the ridiculous price of $6!!!

robert bestien, i just love all the  designs, colors and quality. one of my favorite features is also that all robert bestien bags can become clutches; so its easy to take from day to night. many of these vintage bags are available on ebay and esty stores; they usually sell for about $20-$60.

do you have any robert bestien bags? any vintage handbag finds?

if i can make it there i'll make it anywhere ... new york, new york

RSVP is a very cool chill new spot. i went here for brunch with a girlfriend and we really enjoyed ourselves.

the decor is very nice, and clean nothing too overwhelming.

we started with the crab cakes and we both agreed  it has to be one of the top if not the best crab cakes we have had. the sauce that came with the crab cakes was really tasty as well.

my gf had eggs benedict - local farm raised eggs, toasted english muffin, canadian ham, topped with hollandaise.. which i tasted and was very good. she did mention that the ham wasn't salty which is really enjoyed.

i had Steak n eggs - grilled skirt steak topped with two organic farm fresh sunny side up eggs; my steak was cooked perfectly and i have to say the fries are to die for!!

we both had strawberry mojitos topped with champagne {very good}.

for dessert we pecan cake very very good we just couldn't finish it.

overall my experience was great everyone was very nice and accommodating. i look forward to going after work and or on the weekend to seeing how the crowd is.
