every fall i like to get a new pair of boots as my "new" fall/winter accessory. i love being able to dress up or down a good pair of boots. and to be honest i am in dear need of some new shoes/boots. i need a new coat too but let's start with boots!

USA flag.

i have been feeling very patriotic with labor day and september 11 all so close - and i have really been into red, white and blue as well.. while browsing online for a us flag shirt to wear to my mexico trip i came across these other flag inspired fashion!

time to put away the shorts..

here in new york city it has been getting a little chilly at night and since i started school again last week i find myself good in the classroom in my dresses and skirts.. i think it's almost time to it up...

as i was browsing the web for some new jeans for this season i came across an favorite clothing brand of mine while in high school; buffalo david bitton.. i am really digging there fall 12' collection.. and that skirt to die for!!! 

i am going to take some time this week between classes and stop at macy's over on herald square to try some on. i'll let you know how it goes..

putting on a face..

i have been getting some questions as to what and if i wear make up.. the answer is that i do.. below are the essentials i use for everyday nyc life..

i actually use to different colors; medium beige and medium tan - i like to mix the colors depending on my tan; in the winter i use more beige and in the summer i use more tan. by far the best brush for this application is the full coverage kabuki brush.

i like this blush because it's very warm; since my skin color is very tanned in the summer and very pale in the winter this blush give  me a good balance. i can apply more or less depending on the look and time of the year. i actually like to use this brush even thou it's not from the same brand.

last but not least i love me some mascara!!! i believe long lashes can make your face brand new. this clinique mascara is very strong and black and i love the look. depending on the day i'll make a small outline at the bottom of my eyes.. that's usually my weekend look.. i like blue because i feel like it brings out my dark browns more..

for an everyday look i apply clear glass or chapstick. {i love my blistex}. i am not a huge fan of wearing eye shadow {but i do wear it sometimes on occasion} or heavy makeup; less is always more and i like to look like myself when i take the makeup off - but i love looking like a better me with the makeup on.

we all know that lady gaga is one of my favorite artists. this week she released her 1st signature scent, FAME at sephora

and i have to say it smells delish!! i also really love what FAME stands for;first of its kind in fluid technology, "it is black like the soul of Fame but invisible once airborne;loving yourself has never been more empowering" - i love it

i have been a little monster for quite sometime just look at the above picture.. me about 3 years ago as gaga on halloween!

backpack backpack!! 

back to school; i go. last spring i decided to go back to school to finish my teaching degree. after a 3 year hiatus; i didn't remember how heavy school books are. classes for me start on monday so i am definitely getting a backbag this year.
